Book Trades & Store Credit

Trade in your books for an in-store credit that you can use immediately or in any increment you choose for one year. This works great for families continuing to homeschool and greatly offsets your curriculum purchase costs.  A great option, as you do not have to wait for your books to sell to receive credit!

·         Before bringing in your books, it is helpful if you check our list of what types of items we accept and do not accept. This can be found on our Consignment Policy page on our website, or by asking a Homeschool Hub associate.

·         For only a few items, often we can give you a store credit value on the spot.  For a large amount of books, it may take a few days for us to determine a value.  We strive to give store credit offers within 3 business days.

• If we are unable to give you a store credit value immediately, you are welcome to shop and choose items. We will hold them for you until your store credit amount is determined.
• We reserve the right to not accept all or any of your books; sometimes they are too old, too used, or we may already have a number in stock.
• We will issue you a card, listing your store credit amount, the date it was issued, and the expiration date. Please keep this card handy for future purchases.
• We will also track your store credit balance in the store and email you at 6 months, 90, and 30 days before your credit expiration date as a reminder. (this is only for credits issued on or after 05-01-08)
• Store credits are similar to a gift card and expire one year from the date they are issued.
• You are responsible for keeping up with your store “credit card” and ensuring its use by the expiration date. 
• You may use your store credit yourself or give it to a friend. If you choose to give your credit to someone else, please notify us so that we may transfer the credit to their account.
• Store credit may be used for purchases of on hand inventory only. It cannot be used to special order items that are not in stock.
• The Homeschool Hub is not responsible for store credit cards that are lost or stolen, or cards not used by the expiration date.
• Cards cannot be reissued.
• The store credit and/or card has no cash value and cannot be traded for cash.

IMPORTANT!

·         If you do not accept the store credit amount offer, it is imperative that you pick up your books within 7 days.

·         Books and/or items not picked up after 30 days will become the property of The Homeschool Hub.  If this occurs, any store credit offer will be void, and we are not legally liable for making any payment to you.  

·         By accepting a store credit and/or card, you agree to the all of the above stated terms and conditions.

If you are unable to come into the store and would like to trade in items, please call or email us with a list of your books (please include title, publisher, ISBN#, student or teacher edition, printing edition, quantity, and description of condition of each book). We will then email you an itemized store credit estimate for each book. Please note that we cannot give you a final price until we actually see the books. If you accept the estimated price, you will then mail the books to us. Upon receipt of the books, we will review them and mail you a credit "card". This credit can be used in our physical store, as well as our online store.   Occasionally, an item is received that is not as expected (so please be honest in your description), at which time we will contact you to discuss the items condition and resale value.  Items which are not acceptable for resale cannot be returned to you, so please do not include those items in your shipment.
